Gmail to Google Sheets: supplier quotes, synced

Every quote you extract appends as a clean row in a spreadsheet that lives in your Google Drive. No exports, no CSV round-trips, no reformatting: Gmail on one side, your Sheet on the other.

How the sync actually works

You connect once, with the narrowest permission possible. ProcureMind requests Google's drive.file scope: access limited to files you explicitly choose. You then pick the exact spreadsheet using Google's own file picker. ProcureMind never sees the rest of your Drive.

Each extraction becomes a row. Review a quote in the extension Side Panel or the dashboard, hit Send to Sheets, and a 14-column row appends to your sheet: vendor, quote number, dates, currency, subtotal, tax, shipping, total and a line-item summary. Append-only: existing rows are never modified.

Your sheet stays yours. The file lives in your Google account. Share it with your team, wire it into reports, sort it however you like. Disconnect ProcureMind at any time from Settings and the data doesn't go anywhere. It was never ours to keep.

Why teams end up living in this sheet

Quotes stop being emails. A quote buried in a thread is invisible to everyone but the person who received it. A row in a shared sheet is a quote the whole team can see, compare and act on.

Comparison becomes trivial. When every supplier's quote lands in the same columns, comparing three vendors on price, GST and lead time is a sort, not a scavenger hunt across PDFs.

It pairs with follow-up. The same rows feed Quote Rescue: quotes you've sent get day 2/5/10 follow-up drafts, and recovered revenue is tracked dollar by dollar on the dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

What Google permissions does ProcureMind need?

One narrow scope: drive.file. That lets ProcureMind see and write only the spreadsheet you explicitly pick with Google's own file picker. It cannot browse your Drive, read other files, or touch anything you didn't select. No broad spreadsheets or read-only Drive scopes.

Does the data live in my Google account?

Yes. Rows are appended to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive, which you own. Share it, export it, or build on it with the full power of Sheets. ProcureMind writes rows; the file is yours.

What columns does each row contain?

Fourteen columns per quote: vendor, quote number, dates, currency, the money fields (subtotal, tax, shipping, total) and a line-item summary. The complete 23-field extraction (including every line item) stays linked in your ProcureMind dashboard.

Can I edit the sheet after a row is appended?

Absolutely. It's a normal spreadsheet. Correct a value, add your own columns, sort and filter. ProcureMind only ever appends new rows; it never modifies or deletes what's already there.

How do I disconnect Google Sheets?

From the dashboard Settings. Disconnecting revokes ProcureMind's access immediately. You can reconnect later and pick the same or a different sheet; your existing rows are never touched either way.

Your next quote belongs in a row, not a thread.
